Prague Ruzyně Airport – lost and found
You will find the Lost and Found desk in Terminal 2, in the public part of the departures hall. Once you are at the airport, follow the signs for Baggage Storage. The airport runs Lost and Found and Baggage Storage together at a single point, in the corner of the hall next to the oversized baggage counter.
Prague Airport has just this one central lost property desk. If you lost something over at Terminal 1, walk across to Terminal 2 or call the desk instead.

The desk is open every day and, in practice, almost around the clock – with only two breaks:

So anything mislaid inside the terminal, or after you have landed at the airport, is the airport’s own business. Václav Havel Airport and reporting a loss online
If you cannot get back to the airport in person, or you only notice the loss once you have left, file a report online as soon as possible. Prague Airport works with the international lost property database at airportslostandfound.com, where you can log a loss against Prague Airport (PRG).
In your report, be as precise as you can about
- the terminal,
- the date and rough time of the loss,
- an exact description of the item, including colour, make and any distinguishing marks
- and ideally a photo.
The more detail you give, the better the odds that a handed-in item gets matched to your report.
Reporting quickly, within 24 hours of the loss, raises the chances of recovery considerably. Leave it longer and items may already have been moved or passed on elsewhere.
What the airport handles and what the carrier does
Plenty of travellers do not realise that Prague Airport only deals with items lost inside the terminal buildings. Anything left on board the aircraft, or hold baggage that never arrived, is strictly a matter for the airline or its ground handling agent.
So if you left something on the plane, go straight to the airline or its representative at the airport. For checked baggage that failed to arrive or turned up damaged, head for the baggage claims desk – the Baggage Service Office – rather than the airport’s Lost and Found.
Personal identity documents such as ID cards, passports and driving licences are passed to the relevant unit of the Czech Police the moment they are handed in. To get them back, contact the police station at the airport, not Lost and Found.
Once the statutory holding period runs out, unclaimed items go to the relevant municipal authority. The airport does not store anything indefinitely.

What people lose most often at Prague Airport is electronics (phones, headphones, tablets), wallets, keys, documents and medication. A fair share of it genuinely does turn up at Lost and Found; documents and phones in particular get handed in pretty reliably.
When you report a loss, precision pays. Give not just the type of item, but the make, the model, the colour, any scratches or a distinctive case. For electronics, add the serial number or IMEI if you know it.
You need valid photo ID to collect a found item. Without proof of identity, staff will not hand it over. If you cannot come in person, you can arrange for someone you authorise to collect it – in that case, contact the desk beforehand by phone or e-mail.
